16F (1977AJ02)

(See Energy Level Diagrams for 16F)

GENERAL: See also (1971AJ02) and Table 16.27 [Table of Energy Levels] (in PDF or PS).

See (1972JA14, 1973LA1G, 1973LA1H, 1973RO1R, 1974VA24, 1975BE31).

1. (a) 14N(3He, n)16F Qm = -0.969
(b) 14N(3He, np)15O Qm = -0.421

Observed neutron groups and L-values derived from angular distribution measurements are displayed in Table 16.28 (in PDF or PS) [(1973BO50); E(3He) = 13 MeV]. See (1971AJ02) for the eariler work. See also (1971ADZZ, 1975OT01). For reaction (b) see (1976OT02) [Table 16.28 (in PDF or PS)], (1973AD02) and 17F.

2. 16O(p, n)16F Qm = -16.212

Observed neutron groups are listed in Table 16.28 (in PDF or PS) (1971MO34). See also (1971BE46, 1971TH1D), (1974MO06; theor.) and (1971AJ02).

3. 16O(3He, t)16F Qm = -15.448

Observed triton groups are displayed in Table 16.28 (in PDF or PS) (1965PE04). Comparisons of relative populations of the first four states in this reaction and in the analog reaction (16O(t, 3He)16N) to known states in 16N [see reaction 28 in 16N (1974FL06)] suggest that 16F*(0, 0.20) are 0- and 1- and that 16F*(0.42, 0.72) are 2- and 3- (the relative ordering of the Jπ is ambiguous). (1965PE04) suggest, on the basis of angular distributions, that the ordering is Jπ = 0-, 1-, 2-, 3- for the first four states of 16N. At E(3He) = 73 MeV the spectrum is dominated by a very large peak at Ex ≈ 7 MeV (1975GO1L; abstract). See also (1976CEZX, 1976MOZD).

4. 19F(3He, 6He)16F Qm = -14.845

This reaction has been studied at E(3He) = 70 MeV (1976MOZD).
