¹⁶Ne has not been observed. The isobaric multiplet mass equation predicts M - A = 25.15 ± 0.6 MeV (1968CE01); ¹⁶Ne is then unbound with respect to breakup into ¹⁴O + 2p by 2.6 MeV: see (1971AJ02) for the earlier work. See also (1972WA07) and (1975BE31; theor.).
