13B (1981AJ01)(See Energy Level Diagrams for 13B) GENERAL: See also (1976AJ04) and Table 13.1 [Table of Energy Levels] (in PDF or PS). Experimental work on complex reactions in which 13B is observed: (1976BU16, 1977AR06, 1978GE1C, 1978KO01, 1979LEZR). Reviews and theoretical papers: (1976AB04, 1976VA29, 1977DO06, 1978AB08, 1978DE15, 1979AL22, 1979BE1H, 1979BO22, 1980MA1F, 1980MU1B).
μ = +3.17778 ± 0.00051 nm (1978LEZA).
The half-life of 13B is 17.33 ± 0.17 msec (1971WI07). The mean of this and a previously reported measurement is 17.36 ± 0.16 msec (1971WI07). The branching ratios of various 13C states are shown in Table 13.2 (in PDF or PS): they indicate Jπ = 1/2- and 3/2- for 13Bg.s.. See also (1976AJ04) and (1977AZ02, 1977MA16, 1977RI08, 1979DE15; theor.).
Observed proton groups are shown in Table 13.3 (in PDF or PS) (1972WY01). For angular distribution measurements see (1969CA1A). The lifetimes of 13B*(3.53, 3.71, 4.13) are, respectively, > 0.3, < 0.38 and 0.062 ± 0.050 psec: Eγ = 3536.3 ± 4.2 and 4133.4 ± 7.8 keV (1969TH01). See also 14C.
See 14C.
Observed proton groups are displayed in Table 13.3 (in PDF or PS). Angular distributions have been measured at Et = 11 MeV (1964MI04) and 23 MeV (1978AJ02).
See (1975WI26).
See (1979MAZW) and (1979TR1B).
At Ed = 52 MeV angular distributions for 13B*(0, 3.7) have been reported (1975MA41).
At Et = 23 MeV the angular distribution for α0 has been analyzed by (1979SE07): the DWBA fit is poor. The extracted S(3/2) = 5.7, near that predicted for a filled p3/2 shell.
See (1980NA14).
