1. 13B(β-)13C

Qm = 13.437

The half-life of ¹³B is 17.33 ± 0.17 msec (1971WI07), 17.6 ± 0.4 msec (1962MA19): the mean value is 17.36 ± 0.16 msec (1971WI07). This value leads to (ft)⁺/(ft)^- = 1.166 ± 0.026 (see ¹³O). The induced tensor coupling constant, g_IT = (2.6 ± 0.5) × 10^-3 (1971WI07).

The branching ratios to various ¹³C states are shown in Table 13.2 (in PDF or PS) (1962MA19, 1969JO21, 1974AL12): they indicate J^π = 1/2^- or 3/2^- for ¹³B_g.s.. See also (1974AL11) and (1971WI18, 1972WI1C, 1973HA49, 1973KU1D, 1973MA1K, 1973TO14, 1973WI11, 1974CH46, 1975GR03, 1975WI1E; theor.).

2. 7Li(7Li, p)13B

Qm = 5.966

Observed proton groups are shown in Table 13.3 (in PDF or PS) (1959MO12, 1963CA09, 1972WY01). Angular distribution measurements have been reported by (1969CA1A; p₀, p₁₊₂, p₃₊₄, p₅, p₇). The lifetimes of ¹³B*(3.53, 3.71, 4.13) are, repectively, > 0.3, < 0.38 and 0.062 ± 0.050 psec: E_γ = 3536.3 ± 4.2 and 4133.4 ± 7.8 keV (1969TH01). See also ¹⁴C.

3. 10Be(α, p)13B

Qm = -8.818

4. 11B(t, p)13B

Qm = -0.233

Observed proton groups are displayed in Table 13.3 (in PDF or PS). Angular distributions have been measured at E_t = 11 MeV (1964MI04) and 23 MeV (1975AJ1C). See also (1970AJ04) and (1974WI09).

5. 14C(d, 3He)13B

Qm = -15.338

At E_d = 52 MeV angular distributions for ¹³B*(0, 3.7) have been reported (1975MA41).
