7He (1966LA04)

(Not illustrated)

From the known location of the 7Li T = 3/2 state, the mass excess of 7He is calculated as 26.03 ± 0.15 MeV (calculation of the Coulomb energy difference based on the pair 6He - 6Li* (T = 1)); 7He is then unstable with respect to decay into 6He + n by 0.36 MeV (1965DE08). See also (1953PE1A, 1960BA51, 1960GO1B, 1961YA04, 1962EL1E, 1963NE02). Some reactions leading to 7He are 7Li(n, p)7He, 7Li(t, 3He)7He and 9Be(n, 3He)7He.
