20Na (1978AJ03)(See Energy Level Diagrams for 20Na) GENERAL: See also (1972AJ02) and Table 20.39 [Table of Energy Levels] (in PDF or PS). (1973HA77, 1973SU1B, 1974HA17, 1976CH1T, 1977SH13).
μ = 0.3694 ± 0.0002 nm (1975SC20).
20Na decays by positron emission to 20Ne*(1.63) and to a number of other excited states of 20Ne: see Table 20.37 (in PDF or PS). The half-life of 20Na is 442 ± 5 msec (1971GO18, 1971WI07), 446 ± 8 msec (1972MO08), 448 ± 4 msec (1973TO08): the weighted mean of these measurements is 446 ± 3 msec. The character of the β+ decay sets Jπ = 2+ for the ground state of 20Na. J = 2 is confirmed also by the work of (1975SC20) who studied the asymmetry in the β+ decay of polarized 20Na nuclei to detect r.f. transitions between h.f.s. Zeeman levels of the atomic ground state [see the "GENERAL" section here]. See also reaction 58 in 20Ne.
Observed neutron groups at Ep = 22.9 MeV are displayed in Table 20.40 (in PDF or PS) (1971MO34). See also (1972BA1U) and (1972AJ02).
At E(3He) = 32 MeV, triton groups are observed to nine states of 20Na: see Table 20.40 (in PDF or PS) (1965DO04, 1965PE04).
See (1976BE1L).
