19Na (1978AJ03)

(See the Isobar Diagram for 19Na)

This nucleus has been observed in the 24Mg(p, 6He)19Na reaction (1969CE01; Ep = 54.7 MeV) and in the 24Mg(3He, 8Li)19Na reaction (1975BE38; E(3He) = 76.3 MeV). The latter experiment leads to an atomic mass excess of 12.928 ± 0.012 MeV for 19Na in its ground state. In addition, an excited state is observed at Ex = 120 ± 10 keV (1975BE38). Assuming the atomic mass excess listed above, 19Na(0) is unstable with respect to breakup into 18Ne + p by 320 ± 13 keV. See also (1972CE1A, 1976BE1L, 1976JA23), (1975BE31, 1977SH13; theor.) and (1972AJ02).
