WWW TUNL

¹⁹C has been observed in the 4.8 GeV proton bombardment of uranium. It is particle stable (1974BO05). The calculated mass excess of ¹⁹C is 32.45 MeV using the modified form of the IMME (1975JE02): ¹⁹C would then be stable with respect to decay into ¹⁸C + n by 1.0 MeV and into ¹⁷C + 2n by 5.0 MeV.
