μ_{g.s.} = 1.315 ± 0.07 nm (1989RA17) μ_{0.74} = 1.758 ± 0.03 nm (1989RA17)
The halflife of ^{15}C is 2.449 ± 0.005 s (1979AL23). Transitions have been observed to ^{15}N_{g.s.} and to the upper of the 5.3 MeV states in ^{15}N which has J^{π} = 1/2^{+}. The log ft to ^{15}N*(5.30) indicates an allowed transition: therefore J^{π} (^{15}C_{g.s.}) = 1/2^{+} or 3/2^{+}. Weak transitions are observed to ^{15}N*(7.30, 8.31, 8.57, 9.05) (1979AL23): see 15.14 (in PDF or PS). The shape of the ^{15}C_{g.s.} → ^{15}N_{g.s.} transition differs appreciably from an allowed shape (1984WA07). See also (1986AS1B, 1988ASZY), (1988WA1E) and (1989BA92, 1989PO1K; theor.).

σ_{γ} < 1 μb (1981MUZQ).
At E_{pol. d} = 16 MeV angular distributions and A_{y} measurements are reported to a state at E_{x} = 4.78 ± 0.10 MeV (Γ_{c.m.} = 1.74 ± 0.40 MeV); S = 0.5. A narrow state at E_{x} = 5.81 ± 0.02 MeV (Γ_{c.m.} = 64.3 ± 8.1 keV), S = 0.02, is also observed. It is suggested that these are 1p2h and 3p4h 3/2^{+} states (1985DA23) [and S.E. Angular distributions have been studied at E(^{13}C) = 20.0 to 27.5 MeV to ^{15}C*(0, 0.74) (1988BI11). See also (1990VO1E).
Radiative pion capture shows evidence for J^{π} = 5/2^{+}, T = 3/2 giant magnetic quadrupole states: transitions are reported to ^{15}C*(0.74) as well as to ^{15}C*(6.7, 8.6, 12.0) (1983ST04).
At E(^{7}Li) = 82 MeV ^{15}C*(0, 3.1) are populated (1985AL1G).
