¹⁰He has not been observed in the bombardment of ²³²Th by 4.8 GeV/c deuterons [the production cross section is ≲ 2 μb] (1979BE60) nor in the interaction of ¹⁰B, ¹¹B and ²²Ne [8 to 10 MeV/A] with Ti and ²³²Th targets [the cross section is < 5 × 10^-4 μb/sr] (1982OG02). The calculated value of the atomic mass excess of ¹⁰He is 49.40 MeV: ¹⁰He is then unstable with respect to breakup into ⁹He + n and ⁸He + 2n by 0.52 and 1.66 MeV, respectively (1980SEZX).
