9N

Ground-State Decay Evaluated Data

Deduced Mass Excess for 9N

Mass excess: 44.8 ± 0.1 MeV from Sp= -2.5 ± 0.1 MeV (2023Ch46)
Theoretical (based on Gamow Shell Model) Estimate of Ground-State Γc.m. for 9N

Γc.m.: 1.74 MeV (2023Ch46, see supplement material: Table S1)

Measurements
2023Ch46: 9Be(13O, 9N), E = 69.5 MeV/nucleon; the 4p+α sub-events were analyzed and a 8C peak was found at the expected energy, confirming a decay mode via 8C. The authors deduced spin-parities and center-of-mass one-proton separation energy for the ground and first excited states of 9N.
